Jim Hester is the heart and soul of Appliance Liquidation Outlet, a visionary leader whose influence has shaped the business for decades. His journey began in 1971, when he founded Jim’s Appliance Center, leading the company with unmatched dedication until his early retirement in 2009. However, retirement didn’t suit him, and he soon returned to the family business, working alongside his son, Todd Hester, at Appliance Liquidation Outlet.
A master electrician by trade, Jim’s deep knowledge and hands-on approach have made him an invaluable presence in every aspect of the business. His leadership style is rooted in humility—never hesitating to take on any task, big or small.
Beyond the business, Jim has been married to his wife, Joan, for over 60 years. His unwavering love for family and dedication to his work have made him a role model for generations. His son, Todd, credits his own success to the strength, work ethic, and leadership instilled in him by his father.

Todd Hester – Owner & Leader
As the owner of Appliance Liquidation Outlet since 2009, Todd Hester carries forward his father’s vision while shaping the company’s future. His journey began in 1994, working alongside Jim Hester, where he gained expertise in management, appliance repair, and customer service.
Rooted in strong family values, Todd’s leadership fosters trust and commitment within his team, ensuring that customers receive the best service possible.
A proud native of Cobb County, Todd is deeply connected to the community. His commitment to serving Cobb County and the metro Atlanta region is unwavering.
Outside of work, Todd has been married to his high school sweetheart for nearly 30 years, and together, they have raised two wonderful daughters, who remain the greatest joys of his life. With a foundation built on integrity, hard work, and a passion for community, Todd is dedicated to continuing his family’s legacy for years to come.
